MEET YOUR RETREAT LEADERS
Sara VanderGoot
Sara holds an an impressive blend of qualifications and expertise in holistic wellness. She is the co-founder of Mind the Mat Pilates and Yoga, and holds international recognition as an e-RYT 500 and RPYT through Yoga Alliance. She is nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing, with 20 years of experience in massage therapy and Thai Yoga massage. As a doula, Sara supports mothers during and after pregnancy. Sara's teachings encompass Prenatal Yoga, Post-pregnancy Yoga, Hot Flow Yoga, Slow Flow Yoga and Deep Stretch. With a Juris Doctorate, B.A. in English Literature, and an M.A. in Creative Writing, Sara brings a rich background to her healing practices.
Alex Preciado & Laura Hoyos
Alex & Laura have deeply navigated the complexities of the spiritual realm and understand the need for clarity amidst the chaos. Alex is a pipe carrier and custodian of ancient knowledge within the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan, an ancient tradition that preserves the knowledge from the wisest civilizations of this Earth. His profound connection to ancestral art and diverse indigenous tribes enriches his role as a guide in ceremonies. Laura, with studies in Psychology and Fine Art, merges her love for Plant Medicine and diverse spiritual practices, including Yoga and Meditation. Together, Alex and Laura offer a harmonious blend of ancient traditions, indigenous wisdom, psychological insights, and spiritual practices, empowering you on your transformative path with authenticity and simplicity.
JOIN US
Includes lodging in a beautiful home set in the woods in Haymarket, Virginia, plus three healthy meals daily, beginning Friday evening with dinner and ending with lunch on Sunday. Food sensitivities can be accommodated. Private rooms for couples are available. Participants coming on their own will sleep in a comfortable dorm style room with your own bed. Spots are limited to ensure an intimate and personalized experience.
